The blade of this jian is quite thick, hard and stiff, and is of pretty good condition. After proper grinding, this blade shows beautiful patterns. The original handle, scabbard and fittings were ruined and not to be found. Yet this long jian looks simple but special in its new bamboo handle and scabbard.

西藏不動明王劍

不動明王，梵音為 Acalanatha，意為不動尊或無動尊。不動明王身相有二臂，四臂或六臂的， 藏密崇奉的多為二臂像。不動明王右手執金剛劍(有稱龍劍)，不但可刺殺邪魔，而且可以斷除自己的煩惱與愚痴；左手執金剛索，能繫縛一切惡鬼，而且可以縛住行者自己的心猿意馬。

不動明王劍形特別，刃前端寬，近劍格較窄，上刻有蓮花圖案。劍柄及劍格的形狀，連同劍鞘的製法和用料，皆屬西藏及隔鄰喀什米爾慣用型格。劍鞘以薄木造，包上皮革，鞘邊再包金屬。部份皮革已毀壞，但仍可見縫合手工非常精細。鞘上有三顆半寶石：兩顆舊的綠松石，及一顆紅珊瑚。

據稱此劍大概有二百多年歷史，劍身部份位置有頗深的鏽蝕，不容易除去，然而劍刃仍很鋒利。可能因為劍鞘在外，皮革的毀壞程度嚴重，幸而其他部份仍保留得不錯。

Acalanatha, a Buddha with two, four or six hands. In Tibet, Acadanatha is accepted as having two hands. The right hand holds a sword and the left a string. This sword can kill all demons, vexations and stupidity; while the string can bind fast all evil spirits and distractions.

The shape of this Acalanatha sword is very special: the front part of the blade is wider (see the picture of statue). There are patterns of lotus on the blade which is still very sharp. Heavy rust marks are found in many parts of the blade.

This sword is of the style found in Tibet and regions around Kashmir over two hundred years before. The scabbard is made of thin wood pieces covered by leather with metal edges. It is found the leather skins are finely sown although some parts are now quite seriously corrupted. There are three semi-precious stones: two old turquoises and one red coral, on the scabbard.
